Is this an official Autism (ASD) diagnosis? No. ASD Screening is not a formal Autism diagnosis. This service is a psychologist-led screening that helps identify whether your behaviours, communication patterns, sensory experiences, and developmental history are consistent with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and whether a comprehensive Autism Diagnostic Assessment is recommended.
Who is ASD Screening suitable for? ASD Screening is suitable for: Children with social communication or behavioural concerns. Teenagers who experience difficulties with social interaction, emotional regulation, or sensory sensitivities. Adults who suspect they may be autistic or have been masking autistic traits. Parents seeking a professional opinion about their child's developmental or behavioural differences. Individuals referred by teachers, doctors, therapists, or healthcare professionals.
What is included in the ASD Screening package? Your ASD Screening includes: Clinical intake session with a Clinical Psychologist. Validated Autism (ASD) screening measures. Clinical interpretation of screening findings. Official Psychological Screening Report. Personalised recommendations and treatment plan.
Can adults be screened for Autism (ASD)? Yes. Many adults seek ASD Screening after recognising lifelong challenges with social communication, sensory sensitivities, routines, or masking behaviours. Our screening is suitable for both adults and adolescents, using age-appropriate screening tools and clinical interviews.
What is ASD Screening? ASD Screening is an initial psychological evaluation conducted by a Clinical Psychologist to better understand autistic traits and behaviours. The screening includes a clinical intake interview, evidence-based autism screening measures, and clinical interpretation to help determine the most appropriate next step for you or your child. It provides clarity before moving forward with diagnosis or intervention.
What happens during the ASD Screening session? During the screening session, your Clinical Psychologist will: Discuss your concerns, developmental history, and daily functioning. Explore social communication, behaviour, sensory experiences, routines, and emotional regulation. Administer age-appropriate autism screening measures. Review the screening findings and explain what they may indicate. The session is conducted in a supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental environment.
Will I receive an official report? Yes. You will receive an Official ASD Screening Report that includes: Summary of presenting concerns. Screening findings and clinical interpretation. Areas that may require further assessment. Recommendations for diagnosis, therapy, educational support, or other referrals where appropriate. Reports are typically provided within 7 working days.
Can this report be used for school or workplace accommodations? The ASD Screening Report is a screening report, not a formal diagnostic report. If a school, university, or employer requires an official Autism diagnosis for accommodations or support services, your psychologist may recommend proceeding with a Comprehensive Autism Diagnostic Assessment.
