A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Alya! I’m passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be yourself without judgment, where kindness, respect, and understanding guide every step we take together. You don’t have to have all the answers, we can definitely figure things out at your pace.
Throughout my clinical experience, I’ve worked with children through geriatric clients, addressing a range of psychological concerns. Before starting my postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology, I worked as an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapist with children with autism and their families. I’ve also volunteered as a Crisis Counselor with Crisis Text Line in the United States, which deepened my skills in listening, empathy, and supporting people in difficult moments.
In our sessions, I draw from different therapeutic approaches while tailoring them to your unique needs. My hope is to help you discover your strengths, find coping strategies that truly benefit you, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful.
Most of all, I strive to create a space where you feel supported, heard, and never alone in your journey.
